Retrieving alert packets

I’ve been working through the tutorial for alert packet retrieval. With the alert_id that is in the tutorial, this retrieval is successful:
alert_id = “170059317401616524”
response = await client.get(url, params={“ID”: alert_id})
response.raise_for_status()
response?

However, I’ve been querying diaSourceIds from more recent visits, like 2025042500560,

and I get diaSourceIds like 745174289756979606. When I try to retrieve the alert packet for that ID, I get 404. What am I doing wrong? Is it a data rights issue? Thanks!

Hi @craiglagegit , visit 2025042500560 was in April of 2025, well before the alert stream began commissioning (in September 2025), so there are no alerts from that date to archive.

Is diaSourceId 745174289756979606 taken from DP2? Remember that alert processing and data release production are independent, and the identifiers are purposefully disjoint.
