Hi, I’m Annais. I studied Astronomy at Universidad de Concepción in Chile, where I also completed a minor in Data Science.
For my undergraduate thesis, I analyzed blazar light curves to investigate a phenomenon known as symmetric achromatic variability, potentially associated with gravitational lensing. To study this, I implemented machine learning approaches, including Bayesian inference, computational modeling, and recurrent neural networks, to better understand the underlying physical mechanisms.
After graduating, I transitioned into industry and currently work as a Data Analyst at a telecommunications company in Chile. Alongside my professional work, I actively engage in scientific outreach through social media.
In the long term, I aspire to work as a Data Scientist at an observatory, combining advanced data analysis with cutting-edge astronomical research.
