Over the past couple of days, the following acronyms were actively used in various Slack channels for which I did not find definitions in the [Rubin glossary](https://rubinobservatory.org/for-scientists/documentation/glossary-acronyms). Out of 55 terms/acronyms encountered, 23 were not in the glossary. Some of the terms are fairly obvious but in the interests of uniform coverage and helping new comers I offer the following list of suggested new entries to the glossary. Actual candidate definitions or guesses have, in some cases, been provided. In others, a few words of context. AZ ? azimuth CFS ? as in “cfs server” CLT ? Chile standard time (UTC -4) EL ? elevation FCS ? filter control system? (This may have been a typo for “FES”) HV ? High Voltage IR2 ? interaction region 2 at SLAC where Camera was built and support continues IS ? (as in “tried to update the M1M3 IS, but it did not work.”) L7 ? Level 7 of observatory complex MTCamera? MTMount ? MTPtg ? MTQueue ? OS ? (Observing Scientist?) PoC ? point of contact PXI ? (specialized computer?) RA ? (other than “risk assessment” or “right ascension”. Maybe “rapid analysis”? as in “merlin Picking up two new small pods for RA.”) ROI ? region of interest RTV raster to vector (context suggests “rubin TV”?) STO ? (as in “external disable comes from the STO”) TS7 ? Test Stand 7 (at SLAC) TS8 ? Test Stand 8 (at SLAC) TU ? Hello @glanzman, Thank you for the suggestion. I have opened a [jira ticket](https://rubinobs.atlassian.net/browse/SP-2185) and will add the Rubin-specific acronyms to the glossary. Thanks Tom…I’ve added this to my personal Word doc, where I’ve accumulated same for the past 7 years…after “misses” against the online Acronym page…plus, I can always do a quick local lookup on my laptop (if I don’t have internet access…). ---
