RTN-011 v9.1: Rubin Early Science Program

A new version, v9.1, of RTN-011, “Rubin Observatory Early Science Program,” has been issued and is available at https://rtn-011.lsst.io . V9.1 updates timeline for the release of the PPDB, Full DP2 and Prompt Images.

The PPDB delivery is estimated for October–November 2026, with nightly PVIs (together with prompt direct source catalogs for each PVI through DR1), and the full DP2 expected in November–December 2026. For all, a fixed release date will be confirmed and announced four weeks in advance of delivery.

In the earlier version (Jan 2026?), Section 4.2.1 discussed something called the Prompt Direct Image Source Catalog. Perhaps it is just my lack of skill finding things in Acrobat, but I am not seeing this discussion in this new version. Has the PDISC gone away?

No it has not - this will be delivered together with the prompt direct images (nightly PVIs). See 4.4 Prompt Direct Catalogs – “Starting in Early Operations and continuing until Data Release 1 (DR1), … Rubin will additionally provide prompt_direct_source catalogs for each PVI” @dgmonet I updated the main description to make this clear.
