For a while now, you’ve been able to use our Slack bot, `sqrbot-jr`, to create new technical notes. Now, we’ve added support for change-controlled documents such as LDMs, LSEs.

Open a new direct message with sqrbot-jr and type:

```plaintext
project create
```

Select the new template from the menu: `Change-controlled doc (lsstdoc LaTeX)`.

Fill in the prompts:

Notice that the “handle” is a free-form text field. For change-controlled documents, you’ll enter the handle that was assigned to your document by DocuShare. This handle also becomes the name your document’s repository and publication subdomain.

## Documentation

This new procedure is documented for your reference in the [DM Developer Guide](https://developer.lsst.io/project-docs/change-controlled-docs.html#ccd-create).
